Generally all software is licensed to one user per computer with only one back up copy legally allowed to duplicate it. Most antivirus companies offer multiple computer licenses for more (Trend Micro [best] is free with subscription for 3 computers - like a Home Network, like 2 desktops and a laptop, etc. Anything else may be construed as a bootleg piracy copy of the original software.

I was confused too, as to whether you were located at a different address or the same as your other. If you are both at the same address, a Shared Connection means one pc at a time or double rates for simultaneous log ons plus even hourly rates for usage. You must then also check the License Agreement - whether it is for one or more computers. No doubt it is only for one pc - the ISP Subcription (primary user). However, in downloading or Settings you can click it for "Any User on this computer".... this means you have one legal installation that is legally allowed to be used by any users you have on that pc only. Trying to install this on 2 computers should not work. You must be a paid ISP subscription Primary User to download and use it unless as mentioned licensed for 2 or more computers. It would be highly unlikely any ISP offers multiple licenses for free security softwares.

MSN.com offers free full programs :

McAfee Personal Firewall

McAfee Antivirus

Webroot Spysweeper

..... all free and all full versions like when you purchase it.

Don't use McAfee as if you ever want to delete it , it will latch onto your computer and is overall worse then a lot of free virus scanners. Try avg free.

Norton information superhighway secure practices 2009 is plenty extra effectual than McAfee, palms down. it quite is plenty lighter than previous variations, using purely 7MB of gadget RAM. McAfee makes use of a number of situations that and the secure practices nonetheless lags in the back of. persist with Norton, you would be plenty happier.

It doesn't work if you put it on more than one computer. Unless it said you can use it on multiple computers it won't work.
