How can I remove this? I still have google.com as my "homepage" in Internet Options but don't know why it is "http://www.securitynetpage.net/" that pops up. Thank you.

It is either a spyware or adware.

Try downloading spybot-search and destroy or/and AdAware se from http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10401314.html?tag=lst-0-1 and http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10399602.html?tag=pop and scan using it. 100% it'll work. Both softwares are completely free. AdAware se even comes as part of Google pack. Deleting history is not going 2 work.

Alternatively, download yahoo toolbar with free Norton antispy for internet explorer from

http://toolbar.yahoo.com/ , and scan with it

Spybot and AdAware SE are the best picks though. Update both softwares and scan. They will definitely remove securitynetpage.net from your computer.

( I saw your previous question, just go to Tools-Internet Options-Content-Autocomplete- Clear forms to clear the searches, and uncheck those checked boxes if u don't want the computer to remember your searches, It is your computer not yahoo site that is storing your searches)

yep there alll right. Its getting stolen from you. Ad- aware will work the best with hijacking attempts. If you have norton internet security or a program like it, that will also get it. You can also go into your registry settings.

With a program like spybot you can take a snap shot of your registry settings. And then you can restore it overriding any changes that have been made.
