The depth depends somewhat on the type of soil. Sandy soil is not a structurally sound as clay, so it would require a deeper post hole. Also, the diameter of the hole is critical, unless you fill the hole to the cut edge with concrete, and not use any soil fill. The whole fence is only as good as its foundation, the base of the posts.

Regardless of the depth, all wood will shrink after cut. This shrinkage will cause the post to diminish in size from 4" by 4" to something less with the passage of time. The concrete will not expand to fill this shrinkage void, so a gap will form between the post and the concrete.

This gap will allow moisture to find its way between the wood and concrete and pond there, causing pre-mature wood/water rot, and eventually the base of the post will become loose, weak, and will fail.

Either find another way to secure the base of the wood post above the moisture line, or use metal posts.

To add to Duncans answer. What you actually want to know about is called the dark net. People often confuse the two and think they are the same thing. The difference is that Dark nets are a small part of the deep web. They are networks not accessible using normal web browsers. The main Dark network is accessed by using the Tor browser. It allows you to access the normal web, as well as Dark web sites. Those sites end in onion. Because of how Tor works, websites and it's visitors can remain hidden. Governments are trying to break Tor because of the illegal activities that happen though it. This includes Child porn, Drug dealing, Guns and other illegal things. There are plenty of legal uses for tor and the dark net as well.

Most of the information about the dark net is false, especially if they are confusing it with deep web.

Look, I am saying this for your own good. DO NOT go on the Deep Web, I REPEAT, do not go on the Deep Web. There are a lot of risks involved including:

1. Getting arrested

2. Getting any type of Malware (Trojans, Worms, Spyware, etc.)

3. Getting hacked by a professional hacker (AKA: Anonymous, experienced hackers, etc.)

What is on there you ask? DO NOT GO ON THERE TO LOOK!

Some of the things that you will see will be abnormal. Some of the things EVEN cause mental disorders, and will give you nightmares, and cause mental distress, and / or issues. DO NOT GO ON THERE, YOU WILL BE SCARRED FOR LIFE. IT IS HIDDEN FOR A REASON.

But if you really want to know what is on that deep, erie, dark place, there is:

1. Pedophile Hangouts (Distribute and obtain Child Pornography.)

2. Child Pornography (Even as young as 3 years old, it's really gross. Once, I went on there, and I regret it until this day. You know what I saw? There was a picture of a 3 year old girl, and the man grabbed her by the throat, and stuck his **** in her mouth, and the v*gina. I had reoccurring nightmares of that one picture.) DO NOT GO ON THERE, JUST DON'T!

3. Hitmen (AND YES, THERE ARE HITMEN ON THE DEEP WEB, they look for customers to kill people and they try to find targets just to get paid.)

4. Copyrighted Material (Stuff like Pirated Movies, even Pirated Windows versions.)

5. Drug Dealers (Yes, you can drug deal through the Deep Web.)

6. Human Trafficking (Yes, there is a service in which people do the "Dirty Work" as you could say, and they send the body to somewhere.)

7. Government Agents (This is a huge reason why you shouldn't use the Deep Web, FBI and even Government Agents can break through the Deep Web, recover your IP address regardless even if you changed your IP address.)

8. Hackers / Anonymous (This is pretty much the hangout of the group Anonymous, and there is a 70% risk that they can hack your computer and steal personal information including Credit Cards, Social Security Numbers, Bank Accounts, and can fraud your ID, and pretend to be you, and they can put files on your computer that contain Child Pornography, so that way the FBI will think that you were the one distributing it. DON'T TAKE THE RISK, JUST DON'T.)

It is a scary place. DO NOT GO ON IT, I AM WARNING YOU RIGHT NOW, DO NOT GO ON THE DEEP WEB, YOU ARE TAKING A BIG RISK RIGHT NOW.

You can get arrested for going on the Deep Web, do not go on it, please.

Curiosity killed the cat, and in this case, Curiosity got the cat arrested, got the cat's computer infected with malware, and got the cat scarred for eternity.

BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT TO, THEN DOWNLOAD TOR AND GO ON THE HIDDEN WIKI. BUT WHEN YOU ARE ON THE HIDDEN WIKI, DO NOT CLICK ON ANY ADS, LINKS, OR ANYTHING, THEY ARE FULL OF VIRUSES. 90% OF THE LINKS ON THERE WILL INFECT YOUR PC AND GET YOU ARRESTED.

Safe Surfing the Internet!

And please, take my advice.

The deep web comprises all the sites that are not indexed by search engines, such as Google, which are known as the surface web. Most web sites (around 75%) are found in the deep web. You will have used it several time today. It is not dangerous and there are no risks involved.
