Hi. Recently my computer has been infected with win 7 security 2012. While you can usually just change the date or download a program to delete it, this one wont let me open up most of my applications (even on safe mode w/ networking). How would one in my situation get this off?

Win 7 internet security 2012 is a virus. Malwarebytes can remove Win 7 Internet Security 2012. I would download it and put it on usb and move it to the infected computer since the browser is blocked.

I rebooted into safe mode and did a system restore to five days previous. I ran a full scan with my virus protection, malwarebytes & pcmatic afterwards and no signs of it. I may have just gotten lucky since all the other answers seem to be a drawn out process.

What i did before for a client: I pulled out the drive, used an enclosure via USB and scanned it on another computer's Webroot antivirus. Got rid of not only that, but a whole bunch of malware. It is the most reliable way to get rid of viruses on the PC

Post a thread there tell them your situation. I once had a virus on my pc they helped resolve it.

Other option would be to reinstall your windows. Windows 7 would be good and remember internet security now that its 2012 soon.

My husband just got the virus...no idea how the only way I could even open some files was opening them as administrator....had to copy all his important files to a dvd then run a system restore...nothing else would work
