I have been getting the following alert on my desktop" Security Alert: "Revocation information for security certificate for this site is not available. Do you want to proceed?" (1) Yes (2) No (3) View Certificate. I would like anyone to help me in getting rid of this message and also to advice as to what causes it and how to prevent it from appearing again. It has been a big headache. Many thanks!!!

I had the same problem with Windows 8.1 -- a pop up concerning certificate validation each time I logged into Yahoo Messenger. I went to the control panel and scrolled down to certificate management, eliminating .audiencescience, which was the certificate in question. I unclicked the box and the problem recurred. Then I tried simply disabling Yahoo Messenger in WinPatrol. The next time I logged into Yahoo Messenger, there was no security alert about certification. I don't know if the solution will last long, but it worked for me. WinPatrol has a free version. You might try it.

If this is from ALL sites it is likely your time and date or time zone are set incorrectly. SSL certificates use global time and date settings as part of the verification process. If t is only one or two sites it is highly likely you are being re-directed to a scam version of the real site, often used in phishing attacks to steal all your information, or you are visiting sites which are NOT truly secured but pretend to be. These you avoid like the plague.

you cant get rid of it, because the security certificate doesnt match the site.
