I signed into my MSN account and right when I did, I got a whole bunch of crap like "Internet Security 2010" which I never even had and now my desktop says "Your System Is In infected". It won't let me take the background off. I keep getting alerts from "Internet Security 2010" but it want's me to by the software. So I think someone is trying to steal some information. Anyways, I try "Control, Alt, Delete" to end the Internet Security process but it says "The feature is disabled by the administrator" then I tried to remove it but it says "Program in Use" so I tried to get out of it but you can't. THEN I tryed to pass by it with WinRAR but it says" Some programs are disabled till the virus is taken care of". I have AVG, I tested but nothing found. WHAT DO I DO?

Hi ! It is a fake and rough application .. Download malwarebytes and install, update and run a scan in " safe mode " ... Must fix it ...

Safe mode -

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222

In case you are not able to install, rename the downloaded installation file ... In case you are not able to run after installing it, rename the main executable in program files.. In case not able to run any exe file, use these fixes first ...

Else, if you are well aware of location it is running from, boot using this live OS cd and delete the files related to it.

it might just be spyware. If i were you I wouldnt bother trying to remove it. Why? What if you think you remove it but you end up not removing all of it. Backup your important files to a flash drive, format the hdd clean and reinstall. Install free Avira and security updates. Change all your passwords. Plug in your flash drive and scan it with AV and some antispyware program. Like malwarebytes. win.

Run it in safe mode or with command prompt and delete all your temp files by typing in %temp% and prefetch in your Run or Search box. Empty all of that. Then, uninstall everything you don't need, go to your Start Up Programs and put a lot of them off. Then from there try to run your virus check. Check your Appdata folders and **** like that for anything suspicious(search google from another pc for help with this stuff if you need it). If not, you might have to reinstall the OS :/

either buy a new computer, go to geek squad at best buy and be charged 200, buy the windows 7 OS for around 250, or get recovery discs from your manufacture. either 0-30 dollars.

or find a computer repair shop in your area, and then after all this mess, buy Kaspersky Internet security, its awesome, takes care of everything, no viruses in two years.

HI

Dont buy the software this is not a real scanner. It is a virus. its a counterfeit copy of a fake scanner. try this program. its fixed my pc and has saved me numerous of times on having to format. A system restore back to a few days will not work it doesnt remove it.

Get Malwarebytes Anti Malware (which, despite its weird name, is a good program) and run it -if required ,in safe mode. Then get Free Registry Fix and run it.

I've had the same problem, try System Restore. However thats a newer one, so i t may be harder than that to remove.
