ever since i started up my computer today yahoo has been the first website to be error free. Every other site i try to go to gives me the avast virus has been detected pop up saying it either blocked a trojan or some malware. Im not sure if its just my internet or if its avast is just blocking the internet but some of the times i get error 101 connection reset but certain websites I cant get and get the error message. il give one as an example http://yogiverse.com/ this hasn't given me the entire site once, only the background if anyone else has avast says it was blocking malware. any help?

OMGosh, this is driving me nuts with the AVAST...so glad I came across yahoo answers, and this article also:

I HOPE THEY FIX IT QUICK!

If you take a look at the other questions on here the answer is every one has it. It seems that there is a glitch in the latest update of Avast. Hopefully it will soon be fixed.

Oh wow. This has been happening to me too today. I just assumed that a virus had infected avast or something, but if everyone is having this problem... It's the same for me, yahoo.com is the only website that doesn't set avast off.

Probably something on avast's end. Hopefully they'll fix it.

I am getting the same thing with internet explorer but not with firefox.

No reason to panic, I believe it is a false positive that avast should be correcting shortly!

Its fixed now with latest virus definitions!

I think it is a bad update from avast. I'm turning off web shield (dangerous, but needed for the moment) and notifications until avast gets their act together.

tried to go to the avast forum, but it is being hammered.

I'm having the same problem . Everything i try to do online Avast is detecting as a threat, even just being on here.

I HAD to turn off my web shield in order to type this answer, which I hope doesn't cost any problems because without it, I am vulnerable to get actual viruses.

Just to be on the safe side, I'm doing a scan with Malwarebytes, I hope they fix this problem soon, I can't have my shield off for so long.

It could very well be something on Avast's end. I assume that most Avast users with the latest definitions are experiencing the same issue.

Look at all the people tweeting about it:

I am also experiencing the same problem as you. In fact, to post this I had to temporarily disable my web shield to post this response. As this appears to be happening to a lot of other people I assume that this problem will be sorted soon.
