Question:
MS Anitispyware 2009 & Spyguard 2008?

My brothers computer got infected with these two "programs" and has pretty much gone berserk on us. On start up, the spyguard window pops up and a little alert in the system tray says "your computer is infected with spy ware, please register ms anti spy ware" or something along those lines. Now while that's going on, a window keeps popping up right in the middle of the screen which says "spyware alert!" and is impossible to close. Actually I think clicking on any part of that window makes it worst but that's beside the point. That spyware alert! window doesn't go away and always appears in front of everything else I try to open. So when you try to open a program and it's window comes up the spyware alert window stays in front of it.

I tried to reboot in safe mode and ran AVG antivirus from there. While it did work, I rebooted windows normally and the MS Spyware 2009 and Spyguard 2008 are still there and is still doing what it's doing.

I'm typing this on my laptop because his computer is almost unusable right now. It's become so slow and freezes after awhile cause the damn spyware alert! window and the spyguard window keeps popping up.

Anyone have any suggestions please? It's killing me right now.
