How do I sign out of Windows Live Mail?

I open up Windows Live Mail but then I cannot sign! There is no sign out button!! If I cross it out, someone can just click on Windows Live Mail and read my emails! How can I sign out?

Of course the methods mentioned above will sign you out, but using the site sign-out method is not the most secure. I would recommend you download FireFox and choose to automatically clear history upon exit. I also use Ccleaner to remove history and cookies which will clear all saved sign-ins. Finally, uncheck the box when signing in that says "Remember Me". When you close the browser you will be signed out.. The second link below is a pic that will show you the sign-out button. I am not sure if you can sign just sign out of windows live mail. There is a button that allows you to sign in to a different email address though.

I think that making another user account on windows would be the easiest thing to do. Then they wouldn't be able to see you emails, at least I don't think they would. They would have their own desktop and shouldn't be able to access your email from windows live mail.

If nothing else, then you can create an email address with hotmail or yahoo or gmail for free and sign into that in windows live mail when you are done with your normal email and then sign back in to your actual email address when you need to use it again.

Hi Dex i had the same problem the other month a friend stayed for several days. when he left i could not remove it either.. you will probably have to do what i did and reload the operating system as microsoft software is not of a forgiving nature. The best way forward was to create an account just in case you need to do it again. just for the intruder.

Under your name in the top right corner there should be a small sign out button click it and you good to go.

What I did was I click the Quick view (left side)..

Right Click my Open Account (G-mail/Hotmail/etc.), then Click the Remove Account to Log-out.

otherwise delete all the cookies of your browser.

tools >options>privacy >show cookies >remove the live.com/mail.live.com named cookie or delete all the cookies.

right click iexplorer icon >properties >general tab .delete cookies
