on Google - when I start to type something in - a list of prev, entries comes up underneath. I feel some one else did this (virus?). How do I undo? I feel someone is checking on my banking and resume info.

It is probably the browser that you are using being nice and filling in your history for you. If your browser is internet explorer just go to tools ( the little gear looking thing on the top bar), internet options and make sure you are on the General Tab, near the bottom is browsing history just click on delete browsing history and then click on delete button. You can then click on settings and then history tab and change it so it no longer remembers. The same options are also on Firefox and chrome..

Not knowing which windows version and anti-virus/security software is forcing me to get "wordy" in an effort to clean up whatever it is that found its way into your computer. Follow these steps and it will clean it up: Uninstall every program you don't want, need, or wish would die. Download Ccleaner: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard Install, in the left hand column select the "Old Prefetch data" box- leave other defaults checked- click "Run Cleaner" button (bottom right). When done, go to "Tools"> "Startup" and search through every tab from Windows through Context Menu for suspicious entries, things you don't need, not sure of, click "Disable"(re-enable it later if you need). Select and "Delete" ITEMS YOU WANT DEAD. Download TdssKiller here: https://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions/2663 Follow directions there, close when done. Get Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://downloads.malwarebytes.org/mbam-download.php Install (don't choose trial), update. On the "Settings" tab make sure all boxes are checked, for each option below choose "Show in results list and check for removal", on the "Scan" tab- start a "Full Scan". When done make sure everything found is selected, and click delete. Evaluate your antivirus program- thumb through their forums and see issues others are having, check its ratings here: http://www.av-test.org/en/tests/home-user/ The chart is Java based and interactive, to see which offers the most protection click the top of the "Protection" column, etc. (3 categories). The worst rated will be at top (with the exception of Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), aka: Windows Defender- they lost their AV certification) if you have it, lose it. IF YOU DECIDE TO KEEP YOUR ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM UPDATE IT AND DO A THOROUGH SCAN. If you found that your anti-virus "sucks", UNINSTALL EVERY ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM YOU HAVE, check if vendor requires running a removal tool after uninstalling (most do). MAKE 100% SURE YOU HAVE NO OTHER ANTIVIRUS INSTALLED. ^ Download Avast here: http://www.avast.com/en-us/get/olSeZktG Click the magnifying glass icon "Scan"> select "Boot-time scan", go down to the "small blue settings" link on that same tab (hardening Boot-Scan settings here): A new tab will open- from top to bottom on that tab select all hard drives, click the graph to high (heuristics), both boxes below that checked, and select move to chest, click "OK". Select "Start Scan", then Yes. Computer will reboot and start the Boot-time scan. You should be good now, go to this site to learn Avast setup and features: http://www.winhelp.us/configure-avast-free-antivirus.html After a week of being issue free, Open Ccleaner> Tools> System Restore> Select all but the 3 most recent system checkpoints (ONLY SYSTEM CHECKPOINTS). Select several by holding Ctrl key while clicking to select every one you SHOULD delete (system restore points could be corrupted). A TON of space was made here, do this once a month just before monthly cleanings, now go to "Tools"> "Startup" and search through each tab (AGAIN) from Windows through Context Menu for suspicious entries, things you don't need, not sure of , and click "Disable"(re-enable it need be). Select "Delete" FOR ITEMS YOU WANT DEAD. After all this maintenance, I suggest running CHKDSK and DEFRAGMENT. Pay it forward.

So you say that you haven't entered these searches?

But if you want to clear your history (take away all logs on things you've done) go to this -> https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95537?hl=en
