Microsoft would use their own Email address not that of a cable company. I regret it is a scam. You can report it to Microsoft as Mark Jones has given his Hotmail Email address and telephone number.

Good luck, but I don't think that Bill Gates would pay you out in British Pounds, anyhow they have given you a number to phone and e-mail address, so what have you got to lose, give it a go.

Definitely fake. Due to the @comcast.net email, why wouldn't they send the email from @microsoft.com? If you're sure you haven't signed up for this, and even if you did, don't buy what they're selling. Do not call them, do not follow up, and most importantly, do not give any personal information to anyone, regardless to who they say they are. It's probably a scam for your personal info.

I wouldn't trust this source because of the credit crunch, loads of people are scamming people to get more money. Even though it says Windows on it, wait for another formal letter or phone call. If this sort of thing happens again, ignore it. Good Luck!!!!!!
