i'll try to explain what a mess is happening on your computer.

antivirus2009 is a malware. nod32 only deals with viruses - parasites that erase things from infected computer, corrupts programs so you can't use it etc. antivirus 2009 doesn't do these things, so it is a different type of computer infection and nod32 can't deal with it. do you have any anti-spyware tools on a computer? if so, run a scan and delete everything it finds. if you don't use antispyware, delete antivirus2009 manually, here's removal guide: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-antivirus-2009.html

To prevent re-infection:

This type of infection (Smitfraud) is often spread by tricking the user into downloading and installing something, a "codec" or a "media player" at some site in order to make the site work. Usually a video site. Never allow a website to force a download on you to make something unless you 1000% know and trust the site. A great many of these downloads are trojans or other malware. Always know exactly what you are downloading! If you are not sure, DON'T!

Or it can be caused by a website exploiting vulnerabilities in Windows. Keeping Windows 100% patched and updated with all Windows updates will stop most of this infection avenue. To check, in IE click Tools > Windows Updates.

Antivirus 2009 is the newer version of the Antivirus 2008 and is there to scam you. Also just like its older version, its makes your system slow, brings unwanted popups and can also make your system infected with some serious trojans. So its advisable to remove it as soon as you get infected.

Its make a fake security center named 'Windows Security Center', the windows one being the Security Center

REMOVAL STEPS

1. Open task manager(Ctrl+Alt+Del). Locate and end the process av2009.exe using right click and selecting 'end process' option.

2. Now go to C:\Program Files(Assuming that you have windows installed in C drive) and delete the entire folder named Antivirus 2009.

3. As seen in the second picture, Antivirus 2009 makes a fake Windows security center. So we need to remove that. So go to C:\windows\system32 and delete the file scui.cpl

4. Now delete all the shortcuts on desktop and start menu made by Antivirus 2009

5. Empty recycle bin

Now we need to do some registry editing. Please complete the following steps carefully as improper registry editing could lead to system instability.

6. Go to Start Menu->Run-> Type regedit and press enter

7. Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\

39148080807332159842981568027496

Delete the key ( i.e. the key with a long number which may differ in your pc but will be very long)

8. Now Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\

Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

and delete name(long nos.) with data as C:\Program Files\Antivirus 2009\av2009.exe

9. Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\

Microsoft\Windows\

CurrentVersion\Explorer\

MenuOrder\Start Menu2\

Programs\Antivirus 2009

Delete this key i.e. Antivirus 2009

10 Now if your themes, appearance and settings tabs are missing you can download small tool from

I received the same dreaded anti virus just yesterday. It was such a pain in the neck trying to get rid of it, searching the net for answers, downloading software that $$costs claiming to be free.

Ultimately I did find an answer! superantispyware.com it truly is free. They ask for a donation, by your choice. I thought I would just send out a word on this sight-it is awesome!

Antivirus 2009 is a bad Rogue AntiSpyware application. It may be very hard to remove it.

I would suggest trying the software in my link -->
