So all the problems with my computer started when Antivirus System Pro installed itself on my computer. When that happened it kept popping up not only on my desktop but also in Internet Explorer telling me that the website might be to dangerous for my computer and kept asking me to purchase Antivirus. and the website i was trying to go to was google. it wouldnt even let me get into my email. So i scanned my computer with AVG Antivirus Free and it found and removed over 100 trojans and several other infections. but than i had to restart my computer to complete the removal of all those infections. once i logged back in my computer i got four error messages which are:

1. Windows can not find 'C:\Windows\system32\msixhhk.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and than try again. To search for a file click start and than search.

2. Could not load or run 'C:\Windows\system32\msixhhk.exe' specified in the registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry.

3. Windows can not find 'C:\Windows\system32\msgsofv.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly and than try again. To search for a file click start and than search.

4. Could not load or run 'C:\Windows\system32\msgsofv.exe' specified in the registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry.

Are these files important for my computer registry and if so, how do i reinstall the registry? How do i make sure that Antivirus System Pro is completly gone from my computer and how do i keep my computer from crashing? any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi ! I guess avg did the job well and removed the malware files ... but no antivirus will clean the registry off the malicious startup keys the malware had installed ... remove them manually using Autoruns tool ...

Also, install and run a full scan with malware bytes to be certain ...

Did you ever backup your registry? If not , there is no way you can reinstall it, since there is no such thing ...! The files being mentioned are of malicious nature, and are no more present. Just the startup keys are.

You should try using MSCONFIG in Windows XP to disable some of the unnecessary programs that automatically load on start-up. Disabling these programs will help your computer boot faster and crash less.

1. In Windows XP, go to Start > Run

2. Type MSCONFIG in the "Open:" box and then either press enter on your keyboard or click on the OK button.

3. This launches Microsoft's System Configuration Utility. Click on the Startup tab (the tab at the far right).

4. This takes you to a page with a list of "startup items." Startup items are programs that are automatically loaded every time you turn on your computer. Some startup programs are absolutely necessary, others are simply a waste of RAM.

Remember, disable only those programs that you recognize and don't need to have running all the time. When in doubt, leave it on.

5. Click on the OK button.

6. A message will pop up telling you that you must restart your computer before these changes will take effect. Click on "Yes" and your computer will automatically reboot.

7. That's it! Your computer should now boot faster and crash less.

And you should also update our Antivirus software and run a virus scan,

You can deal with like this:

1. Click on Start -> Run (or Start Search in Windows Vista).

2. Enter GPEdit.msc and then press Enter.

3. Navigate to the following location:

User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System

4. In the Settings pane, locate the Prevent access to registry editing tools option, and then double-click on it to open the settings dialog.

5. Select Disabled or Not Configured.

6. Click on OK button.

7. Try to run RegEdit.exe, and if required (still blocking yet), restart the computer.
