Question:
How can I remove programs or files, etc. on my computer that have a trojan attached to it?

I just scanned my computer and I have 10 Trojan's attached to certain files in my computer. Most of the files were removed but some weren't. For example, Python 2.2.1 which I never use and really don't need. But I can't remove all of it's components. Also a spyware that is also infected is "My web search (smiley center)" No clue how this got on my programs list but it's there and everytime I hit remove, it says Error loading and gives me the file name and says Specified Module could not be found. ??? I can't remove it but it's infected.
Another example would be System Volume. My Anti-Virus says that it's infected and I can't find it. It gave me 2 seperate file names for System Volume (which I haven't had a problem with volume or sound on my computer) and every time I try to do a search for the 2 specific file names, it says they can't be found...and they are infected...therefore I can't remove them either.

Is there any way I can get rid of all these things and remove this stupid trojan for good?

And if you are going to tell me to go to Malwarebytes.org....I can't. My trojan has it blocked. I have tried the free scan on Trendmicro and I can't get all the way through the process without it freezing or something else going wrong...also I believe is the Trojan blocking it. I tried AVG and that didn't anything except detect tracking cookies...so I removed that and I just downloaded Avira AntiVir this morning and that was the program that gave me all those programs and files that were infected.

If anyone would like to see my report, I saved it in a doc. file. I'm not a computer wiz but the report itself is pretty easy to read. I counted 10 different infected files with the Trojan.

If you read alllllll this and are still willing to help me out or give me some positive feedback, then THANK YOU AHEAD OF TIME!!!!!

First, find out what kind of trojans and how they affect your OS. If you're running Microsoft Windows, you'll want to know about how this Trojan affects the registry, services, and log-in. Symatec Corporation has a virus database that will likely have this info- in fact, your probably have most of it in your .doc file.

Then, you'll want to do the following:

1. Disconnect from the Internet

2. Disable something called "System Restore"

3. Disable the Trojans on log-in.

4. Log into safe mode. To do this press F8 when your computer starts.

4. Hide Operative System services and disable any services the Trojan uses

5. Delete the registry files that the Trojan uses.

6. Delete the files the Trojan uses.

7. Restart, but this time don't press F8. The system will boot normally.

8. Enable System Restore

9. Turn on the Internet.

10. Get an anti-virus program.

I'd try to find someone who knows about your system and can help you through this outline.

Good Luck :)

You've tried a lot and had it blocked, but I don't see anything in there about having used Safe Mode or Safe Mode With Networking. These may keep the malware from defending itself.

Also, turn off System Restore to evict any copies of bad stuff that might be lurking there.

To get into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking:

1. Log out and reboot your machine.

2. When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.

3. Select Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu.

4. Login. If the malware has changed your password, try logging in as Administrator. By default, Administrator has no password.

5. The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different.

6. When you're finished doing what you need to do, log out and reboot back into normal mode.

Good luck.

Boot your computer in safe mode, press the key F8 repeatedly. Press enter over the option "safe mode". To run malwarebytes, re-name the icon, if doesn't work just install it in safe mode ( save to the installer to usb device ect). Try super anti spy ware to remove it, if malwarebytes dont work. When done restart and should be good.
