Question:
How can I disable my Norton Security quick scan from running everyday?

I had many viruses on my computer and Norton was only one that helped. But with all those viruses that I have fixed, the last thing I need fixed is to have the quick scan disabled. It removes my sound and then everyday I have to go back and fix it. Is there a way to disable it? P.S. please don't say buy a new computer. Thanks.

You can't disable the scan. It should not be messing up your sound. Go to the Norton forums, and get free help there. They should be able to help you with the setting so it won't do that any more.

There are two ways.

1) Go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and Uninstall Norton.

Or if you would rather leave Norton installed so that you can use it when you want to.

2) Press the Start button on your task bar, and click on Run....

Type in regedit and press Ok, an explorer type window will open. On the left side, click on the + next to HKey_Local_Machine to expand that key. Go down and click the + next to Software to expand that. Then expand Microsoft, expand Windows, expand CurrentVersion, go down an click on the Run folder. In the right pane you will see a list of things that Windows will run at startup, delete the Norton entry, and that will keep it from auto-running. Be care fullusing Regedit as it is easy to mess things up, and all changes are permanent there is no Undo.

basically make certain you vault them or eliminate them and you will be fantastic. yet another component extra suitable than possibly those are basically unknown cookies and could no longer be spyware in any respect. basically shop a pay attention and make sure you quite often decrease back up significant archives.
