I just now tried to remove one of the probable infected programs on my computer, It keeps saying: Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer? Publisher:Unknown | Location: This hard drive, and when I click on "no", it says "Installer was interrupted during the removal process". What does this mean and how do I uninstall the program? Should I give it permission?

What's the process?

What is the thing that wants to run? If you're running an uninstaller, than you're probably in the clear.

IE: If it is a process like "uninstaller.exe, uninst.exe, ur_program_here_uninstaller_.exe" then you're good. UAC (user account control) just needs you to clear that before anything can be uninstalled

If you are not sure what it is, then I wouldn't give it permission. Viruses, usually don't ask for permission to be installed, but you never know. And of course, sometimes legitimate programs will have a publisher unknown attached to it. Don't know why, but I've seen it. Just see if you can tell what the program is (what the actual file name is) and when it's trying to install and then do a search on it. If you able to get the file name of what's attempting to install, you should be able to find information on it, if it's a legitimate file.

No. Hold down these keys all at once, Ctrl, Alt, Delete on the bottom of your keyboard. This brings up Windows Task Manager. Go to Applications, highlight the offending program, and click on the button at the bottom named "End Task".

Get AVG virus protection - it's free: http://free.avg.com/us-en/download-avg-anti-virus-free

think about it

so if you remove it it change your system
