I installed an update to Java from Sun microsystems and now everytime i open Internet explorer I get a request to allow or not to run this program.

When i open a new tab in IE on Vista Home, this process demands the highest CPU. A new tab takes 5-8 secs now to load the home page. How do I get rid of it? It's slowing my browser.

After installing new version of Java on Vista, I got the same problem with IE request to run this program. And some web sites became very slow. But after rebooting, the problem went away.

I used the Parental controls to setup a new user that is just used for going on the internet. It will only run Firefox and Chrome. It prevents the SVagent.exe, helper,exe, sttray64.exe and many other executable programs from running in the background.

In IE click on Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Enable or Disable Add-ons -> Click on SSVHelper -> Click Disable -> Close

Click OK.

In IE click on Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> scroll down to "Oracle America, Inc." -> Select "Java(tm) Plug-In SSV Helper" -> Click Disable -> Close





Post that, restart the browser. it should be resolved.

ihad the same issue. go to your contorl panel,click the programs icon,then uninstall the update #7 it should be the last of 3 or so
