How to uninstall "security tool"?

Basically i went on this website and it said i had i virus, now i have had this happen to me quit a lot and normal i just ignore it and scan my computer to check however this time for some stupid reason i agreed to install the "security tool" anti virus program it said. Basically it is a software that pops up CONSTANTLY and says "500 infections found click here to activate your software". I have scanned my computer with 3 different anti virus software (norton, mcaffe and sky) and none of them have reported any threats. From the limited searching i have been able to achieve (because my internet gets shut down about every 10 seconds) i have found that it is a false program that tells you your pc is infected to get you to buy the software which was wat i thought BUT no where have i been able to find a way to uninstall/delete it

i have tried

Control panel>uninstall a program but it cant seem to find it
i have opened file location but when i delete it it says "file is open in another location" (which isd my hidden icons) but i cant right click on the icon to press close like i normally would

so is there any other way to do it?
Would system recovery work?

You need to download, install, update and do a full scan with Malwarebytes, and let it remove whatever it finds.  You'll most likely need to do this in Safe Mode, and you may need to download it on another computer if your internet access is compromised.  There are excellent tutorials on this at Bleeping Computers:

Hey I have had this exact viruse before, this is how I get rid of it, not as complicated as its looks lol

If your virus is interfering with downloads and other things then firstly you have start up your comp with 'safe mode with networking' you so this by shutting down your comp and switching it back on and constantly pressing f8 until you come to a screen that has options and you select 'safe mode with networking' By doing this the virus can't interfere with what you are doing. The page will load up (1-2 mins) and then you will log on as usual (the screen might be bigger and look different, this is fine) (if you can't get on safe mode just do it on normal mode)

Now download this to scan your computer, it’s the best virus remover you can get for free

http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/

(If link doesn't work type 'malware' in the search box and click on the first one ''malware bytes'')

It’s a reputable website that my internet company uses and this has helped me tons of times before. Download it and run it (it’s free) (you might have to disable your pop up blocker at the top of the screen when downloading, right click, download)

Perform quick scan (should take 10 to 20 mins)

View results

Remove all

(CLICK NO TO RESTART COMPUTER)

Go on quarantine (4th from the right column)

Then delete all

Then restart your comp

Have done this many times, works every time and can remove anything

Good luck :)

Download and install-

MALWAREBYTES ANTI MALWARE-

http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

SUPERANTISPYWARE-

http://download.cnet.com/SuperAntiSpyware-Free-Edition/3000-8022_4-10523889.html

If the virus is blocking you from downloading these programs restart your computer in Safe Mode WITH Networking. To do this restart your computer and immediately start tapping the F8 key. This function is somewhat system specific so yours maybe F2, F10, or F12, something like that. If Windows starts to load you have missed your cue and need to restart. Now choose to start in safe mode with networking. Now you need to download and install Malwarebytes Anti Malware. Run a system scan.

Next download and install SuperAntiSpyware and scan your system. I should mention that if the virus is blocking installation of Malwarebytes or SuperAntiSpyware you need to change the .exe file name to something else. (just right click the .exe file you just downloaded and select rename. Also make sure NOT to include .exe when renaming.

yeah, I've been there. You have to run the computer in "safe mode". then install Spyware Doctor (either full or trial) run a scan and it will tell you its location. go to it and rename it. then restart the computer and run in safe mode again. delete the file then your pretty much done. its still there in some form but if you keep searching through Spyware Doctor you will eventually delete everything.

Hope this helped!

Delete that file in safe mode.

Reboot, press F8 and choose from menu safe mode

then go to that location and delete

I recommend rescanning with malwarebytes/hitman pro/spyware doctor, as sometimes security tool does not install alone.

Boost your computer into safe mode and delete the below files;

%System Root%\Samples

%User Profile%\Local Settings\Temp

%Program Files%\SecurityTool

%Program Files%\SecurityTool

C:\ProgramData\[random numbers]\

%Documents and Settings%\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\SecurityTool

%Documents and Settings%\All Users\Application Data\SecurityTool

doguzeri.dll

4946550101.exe

4946550101.cfg

Delete the follwoing related Security Tool registry entries:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “SecurityTool”

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Vista Antivirus 2010

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SecurityTool

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SecurityTool

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "4946550101"

But in my opinion, to ensure a fast and safer uninstall process, it is better to uninstall it with an advanced uninstaller which is able to display hidden files. I think this will be your best choice:http://pchelpdiy.com

system restore would not help, you need to open task manager to stop 1635588.exe process firstly, so that you will be able to remove C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Local\1635588.exe

then follow this guide to remove the rest of the files
