How to remove "West Yorkshire Police" Virus?

So, Earlier on today I was just getting on with some editing & I was suddenly halted as my screen was locked by what was claimed to be the West Yorkshire Police , However I have trawled the internet enough to know what is & isn't a legit claim ,in addition to the many discussion across the internet with the exact version shown here ---> http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll121…

Anyway, I'm just wondering how exactly I can remove this as there a quite a few listed ways of removing & I can't put a finger on which one will work so if you could just state something that will definitely work (especially if you had the same problem).

Also to note, I have tried to open Avast & start a scan but despite the ability to open the program, When i go to attempt a scan, both the Quick & Full Scan's instantly say that there is "No Threat Found" after a run time of 0:00:00 so something is clearly wrong there

This is a Malware Trojan, follow the instructions below to remove it;

Insert the BOOT USB/CD into the infected computer then reboot the computer and follow the instructions. Once clean up is finished remove BOOT CD and reboot computer again.
