Can you search for and find a hidden virus on a downloaded music file?

I've downloaded I-doser from piratebay.org, a torrent website, and downloaded the torrent via limewire. Is it possible for me to physically find a hidden virus, right now, on my computer? That goes for any file.

I also make music videos for my own entertainment and do not want these viruses that I keep hearing about to harm my computer. I've made music videos with music that I've downloaded through limewire, and I'm afraid that those videos might have viruses in them now. Is any of this possible? I worked sooooooooo hard on those videos.

And I'm quitting limewire. I'm switching to I-tunes to get music. And if anyone knows anything about piratebay.org and if it's safe to use, please let me know. I don't know if I'm gonna have to delete all of my I-doser music files or not.

This...is...such...a...drag.

Well, first off your biggest mistake was using Limewire, it sucks! Best thing to do is get avast virus scanner on your computer. It is the best. My brother in law hooked me up with it and it will find any virus, trojan, you name it. It is a free download and really easy to use.

Don't delete all your music files unless you 100%have to. I just had to wipe my computer about a month ago and it sucks having to go back and get all that music again. Good luck and see if the AVAST antivirus helps.

iTunes. And different valid sites. additionally verify you acquire iTunes from the actual web site. i'm sorry to assert that the only thank you to get music actually without viruses is: a million. valid sites like iTunes the place you pays (yet they do positioned some issues up unfastened) 2. purchase the CD and rip it onto your computing gadget 3. Get a trusted buddy to deliver their legitimately offered songs to you over msn for sure you may take a guess on unfastened sites in case you like; many human beings do. yet you're taking a guess.

if you have microsoft internet explorer then when you try and download press save instead of the download button and save it to the desktop.

After that, scan the song or video and if it has no viruses, you can play it with no problem.
