I need help with a virus!?

The error messages say: "The file (whatever i'm trying to open).exe is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus program now? The "antivirus" program is just called Windows Security Center. I know that it is fake from previous experience. I CAN NOT DOWNLOAD anything, CAN NOT install anything, ALL I can open is the internet. Do I have to clean wipe my hard drives? If so, how do I do that on a laptop? And lastly, if I DO that, will my OS still be here? I purchased my laptop and do not have the OS disc. Thanks in advance!

Well,



1st, You can't download ANYTHING, so you basically have to reformat.

2nd, You will need your O.S. disc. (You can buy them relatively cheap)

3rd, Back any of your personal data (On a Floppy, Flash Drive, etc)

Ask your friend for a copy of OS of your choice and format the hard drive.
