Honestly your question is very vague in the sense that you do not identify the problem. The messages you are receiving are typical messages for some updates in that your computer must be restarted b4 the updates will take effect. Accept the updates then restart your computer after they are installed. If you are having other problems identify them and elaborate a little more here. Good luck and I will check back later to look for any details you may choose to add.

If you cannot get the answer contact one of their personnel. If you are being ignored or you can't find the proper help. Then do the installation in Directory Services Restore Mode.

To reboot into Directory Services Restore mode reboot your PC. Then press F8 repeatedly as soon as the computer starts up. You'll see the following options

Safe Mode

VGA Mode

Last Known Good Configuration

Directory Services Restore Mode

Select Directory Services Restore Mode

I know that works cause I had the same problem installing Service Pack 3 and it only worked in Directory Services Restore Mode. It might give you a warning that it is not recommended to do it that way unless you can't do it the normal way.

Well that is the reason why you are doing it in there in the first place so allow it to install in DSRM.

I am not answering your question, just having a rant......

Because of all these bloody updates, which ****** my pc up,i had to do a complete re-installation.There is nothing on the pc now, only the basics loaded back,anti-virus etc and FF.

More updates,i have no sound now on my pc now.I also have just tried my laptop and after yet more bloody updates,no bloody sound on, that now.Anybody tells me this is not related to these updates, then i am Mother Theresa.

You could maybe understand faults on a laptop or pc that has lots programmes running and files etc.But on something that had to be re-installed,it is suppoesed to be a clean slate, nothing whatsoever to confilct with.

Another update on pc and it has been on shutdown now,30 bloody minutes.

MICROSOFT SHOULD ISSUE AN APOLOGY TO ALL USERS OF THEIR OS,because,i am sure a fair few have had to pay to get some of these faults fixed or repaired by pc technicians.

We should not be expected to mess about with BIOS and command prompts, they are for people who know what they are doing.MICROSOFT HAS REALLY ****** UP THIS TIME,trying to monopolize the computer market with all these OS versions. They have taken on too much and do not take the time now to check the safety of the updates before they are available.EVERYTHING IS FOR MONEY.

DELETE THIS IF YOU WISH,BUT I AM SURE IT IS NOT JUST ME WHO FEELS THIS WAY!!

I have just had an update on my pc,which has failed, checked the error code 800F025,tried to manually download from the actual Microsoft site, which was recommended, proceeded to do so,and aa message "THIS UPDATE IS NOT FOR YOUR SYSTEM",went back to updates and it is not there now?????

My pc is running virtually nothing on it,what is going on!!!!
