Firefox - has the wheels fallen off?

How many of you are experiencing crashes with Firefox? Not just an odd crash, but quite frequent crashes. I know that it's to do with the add ons more likely but it has gone downhill since Firefox 2. What are your thoughts on this? Please.....no fan boys thanks

It has been pretty well agreed with people I know that Firefox 3 does not work. Even if it does, it is definitely slower. I refuse to use it. Heck, I could not use it even if I wanted, which I don't. It just doesn't work, it is "too secure"



Don't get me wrong. I love Firefox. Got a ton of addons, all great. Love it. Love Addblock, love stylish, everything. But I use 2.17



I think this was a case of Firefox trying too hard. They have a customer feedback tracker that apparently they really like use. They have an active forum and they seem to really listen to all the complaints, reports of bugs. If they hear of something, they act fast to fix it. Sometimes they act too fast, out of fear of what happened to IE as being the most hacked browser. Since more and more are using Firefox, perhaps they did not to be the next "most hacked browser," I don't know.



Try another version of Firefox here....

aye, i've had quite a few lock-up problems with it and a couple other issues the past few weeks, end o the day, it's still a better browser than IE.

most of my problems are with sites that have like an animated ad' or something constantly happening in it, like

for example, my firefox doesnt like that site very much. it'll be fixed soon enough tho once they source the problems.

I'd stick with it. better than goin IE again

No problems here. Crashes are rare. I'd try getting rid of unnecessary addons, or replacing some of the ones you have with ones that might be a bit more stable or up to date.
