You can actually delete all files on the C:\Windows\Temp\ folder and do not be afraid since these are just temporary files on the computer.

May I know the exact name of the cleaning software that asks you to buy a virus cleaner? It might be one of the well-known fake/rogue antivirus software such as Advanced Security Pro and Microsoft Advanced Security Center.

And also have you trying opening Google Chrome in Safe Mode with Networking or just plain Safe Mode?

Sounds like you have some virus or mallware one your PC if you have a firewall or antivirus like Norton or Mcafe installed run a full update (assuming you can still get on line maybe via explorer ) and then a full anti virus check.

Alternatively you can follow the recommendations of downloading the Microsoft anti virus free software and doing a full anti virus check. It's a good idea to make a recovery cd if you ever get that far as from your description the virus won't let you go on line and wants you to download a solution from them which you should not do under any circumstances. Another very good free malwere removal tool is malwarebytes try and download via explorer

Looks like you installed some junk software (Malware or Adware I'm not sure which one). Following any of the following methods.

1. Try using Safe Mode and uninstall the cleaning software or delete the folder containing it.

2. Or go to control panel -> Add or remove programs and uninstall the cleaning software.

3. Or manually browse 'Users' folder which can be found in the drive in which your OS is installed and delete. It should be inside 'Public' folder or the folder with your user name. If you can't find it inside ...\Users\Public or ...\Users\ then search it in program files.

Install an antivirus and scan your PC

Deleting temp folders wont mess up your files.

You don't mention which operating system or whether or not you have antivirus installed, but your description does indicate your PC does have a virus issue. I recommend you try going into safe mode by pressing F8 repeatedly on power-up, and select safe mode with network support. If you do have a virus or antimalware program installed- update them and then do a thorough scan. If you don't have antivirus and/or antimalware installed then I would recommend you use another computer to make a rescue CD such as the one at this link: http://www.avg.com/us-en/226386 Follow the directions to the letter.

Please give more details about the virus in question. You do have a virus on your computer because of this cleaning software, but without additional information, I don't know the extent of the virus. Does it have a name? If so, I can research it more in depth.

Thanks

Go to this website and use their free software.

If you can't click on it, try typing it in manually.

Here are also two different tools from Microsoft that you can download and install.
