When I woke up, my mum told me that the computer did weird things yesterday night. Apparently, the system language turned Arabic and werid siren noises were heard. So I went onto my pc and checked if everything was fine. Everything was, and I scanned my pc.

Run this:

http://malwarebytes.org/

And this:

http://superantispyware.com/

If they come up clean, you're probably ok. Problem is, they probably won't.

Don't run them at the same time either.

Always pays to be safe, follow the steps below to check and clean the system.

Download Malwarebytes AntiMalware http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

And

SpyBot Search And Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl…

Install, update and run full scan, run malwarebytes first, followed by Spybot Search & Destroy

Do not run at the same time.

Follow all recommendations for everything detected.

Restart Computer.

****ALTERNATIVE METHOD (if unable to run mbam duee to infection)

Turn off System Restore to prevent re-infection from infected restore points.

(If using Vista turn off UAC first)

To get to the System Restore menu:

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System restore

Reboot in safe mode with networking.

To get into Safe Mode with Networking: <--Extremely Important!

1. Turn off system restore

2. Log out and reboot your machine.

3. When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.

4. Select Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu.

Download Malwarebytes AntiMalware http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Rename mbam.exe to xxx.exe <--Extremely Important!

Install and run full scan.

Follow all recommendations for everything detected.

Reboot and Restart System Restore.

Your All Set.

Maybe a virus to make sure though download:

Malwarebytes Anti Malware:

http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

SuperAntiSpyware

http://www.superantispyware.com/

Use both just to make sure, update and scan. Use 1 at a time.

Might want to scan your mom while your at it... or check to liquor cabinet.

In all seriousness you can try housecall.trendmicro.com/

but i would recommend downloading and anti-virus applications if you dont already have one. AVG has a good free virus scanner you can download.

I think your mom must be drinking, doing lsd or shrooms or something because if everything appears to be fine its fine. But if you are concerned, download either spyware doctor, or AVG free or go buy a pay antivirus if you dont have an AV already.
