How to Hide My IP Address?

I am not sure if this software from http://www.hide-my-ip.com/?id=3222 can truly hide your IP address. Does anyone have any experience on how to hide our IP address? Does anyone have tried the above software? Thanks for the feedback.

To hide your IP and use the software you have to have a brief understanding of how it all works first.



The IP address is given to your router/computer from your ISP. Your computer/router will use the path given by your ISP first, meaning you have to go through their servers to get out to the world, thus is what a Gateway is for. It is your door out into the world. Without a gateway, your car is stuck on the highway. So it is impossible to fully hide your IP address because you need it on the internet. However, you can hide the traffic of sites you access by using this type of software.



Now, there is a few of these types of softwares I have come across. The main one everyone uses is using a proxy/remote server to send your information out. What you are doing is connecting into someones computer, having that server process the requests for you, then send your the final results thus anonmizing your transactions. You have to be careful because some servers will keep your login credentials.



The software you have is designed to use the remote server and change on a whim. I am not sure how good the software is but it does the job better instead of you having to change the server manually to get a new server.
