Today is November 16th 2010. Earlier today, I was on MSN and checking my hotmail without a problem. At about 6:30 pm I tried going on MSN and noticed that the page look has changed slightly. Everytime I try to click the hotmail link to check my email, it would just take me back to the MSN home page. I opened up Firefox (was using IE when above happened) and tried to log in. When I clicked the log in button a little windows security warning window came up saying (this is copy and pasted, exactly what it said) "Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party.

Are you sure you want to continue sending this information?"

When that came up I clicked cancel and didn't sign in.

Also, I notice my Avast antivirus icon is not at the bottom of my task bar, but I can access it through the start up menu so it hasn't been uninstalled. I ran a scan with Spybot Search & Destroy and Malwarebytes, both came up clean.

Is this a virus, or is there something wrong with MSN? Is anybody else having similar issues?

Yes, this started for me at about 6:30 P.M. as well. I have tried a few things to get around it but there is nothing I can come up with. I am going to run a security scan and see if it can pick up something.
