Follow the procedure here:

How to remove VirusProtectPro or VirusProtect Pro (Removal Instructions):

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic98219.html

"The latest rogue anti-spyware program installed via Zlob infections is VirusProtectPro. VirusProtect Pro is installed via a type of Trojan infection called Zlob Trojans which masquerade as video or audio codecs required to view a movie or listen to a audio file. In reality, though, these Trojans instead install VirusProtectPro as well as other malware on to your computer without permission..."

It IS a trojan virus.

Looks like you downloaded a rogue program. Follow the steps below to try and eradicate it.

Edit** Sorry, I don't use Yahoo email or messenger. I have shortened and modified the steps below. Follow them carefully. At the bottom I left the free technical forums that can help you out as well.

First check for any updates to your anti-virus product. If you haven't a product such as AVG or McAfee or Norton, download AVG from this website and then check for updates.

**AVG 7.5 AntiVirus (Vista Compatible)

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

Second download and check for updates the following product:

SuperAntispyware

http://superantispyware.com/

These programs can be run in Safe Mode after downloading and updating. To get to Safe Mode, reboot your computer and when it starts back up, hold down the F8 key. After a few seconds a screen will appear, choose Safe Mode from the list.

Once you get into safe mode, run a full system scan using both AVG and Superantispyware. Do not run them both at the same time. Run the AVG first then run the Superantispyware. This will take some time so you'll need to be patient. Each program could even take an hour or so to completely run. Do not attempt to surf around or use messenger or anything while the scans run. Afterwards fix or quarantine any problems they find. Then reboot your computer.

After cleaning your system, disable System Restore, reboot and re-enable System Restore when you log back on. This will clear the malware that may still be lurking in System Restore files, which could be reinstalled should you need to rollback at some point. Additionally, a reboot may be required to complete the malware removal process.

================================

If you cannot get it removed after the above, you may want to join a tech group that specializes in providing manual instructions on malware eradication. It will require back and forth interaction, something that yahoo Answers does not support. They have access to a wide variety of tools and can provide expert advice. Join one of the groups below.

VirusProtectPro is dangerous and rogue security application that is secretly installed by the trojan.Zlob. VirusProtectPro generate fake warning messages and force to purchase the paid version of VirusProtectPro. VirusProtectPro uses aggressive advertising, popups, and misleading scan results as a scare tactic to have you purchase the full commercial version of the software. When loaded, the infection will also display fake security alerts from the Windows task bar.

You probably need to use a spyware scanner to remove it. Your best bet it to buy one, but if you don't have the money, you can get a decent free version from Google by installing the Google Pack.

You can get the Google Pack here:

http://www.bestspywarereport.com/freesoft.html

If you want to install a premium scanner and don't mind having to pay for it, I would suggest XoftspySE, which you can read about here:

Good luck!

First you need to check on your Start/Programs

and make sure your VirusProtectPro is not there.

if it is uninstall it.

If not you need to disconnect from the internet and

run an Spyware Removal like AVG Spyware Removal.

It is free and can be download from :

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0

If you are lazy :) you can try to restore your PC

before you had that VirusProtectPro.

Start/accessories/Restore

Restore your PC right before you install that VirusProtect

software.

Email me if you have more issues.
