thought i had removed it through combination of manaul tasks and windows defender. Had to change registry setting in order to get rid of the screen of death screensaver. Now all windows profiles just go into their entry screen, either default blue or photo, etc but with no icons or start bar on. an only do Ctrl/Alt/Del to get task mgr and lots of things running but no desktop!!

only thing now i can tell you to do is to clean up everything on ur computer move the important files on a cd (like anti-virus program, music e.t.c) and may want to do system restore or get the boot cd( windows 2000/xp or vista and restore all files from there

Yeah might wanna look into a better firewall also to keep it from happening again and remember if it is free there is a reason for it I recommend trend micro been using it for almost 6 years and never had a issue

aRRRGHHH. I hate when that happens. You might have to go to the pc shop to get this fixed. After it's fixed get Avast anit virus. It's free and it works so excellently.

Good luck!

You would have to read the full description of this awful infection to see what to do, and just as important, what NOT to do. Read it carefully and see if this can help you in any way.
