1) Shut off your computer.

2) Turn it back on, but repeatedly tap on the "F8" key

3) Select "Safe Mode" (it might be called "Start in Safe Mode") with your arrow keys and press the "Enter" key

4) Run your antivirus program from there (you will not have Internet access in Safe Mode)

I hate to see any PC go to waste because of a virus/trojan/spyware

If you're still hoping to fix the computer,

1) Try the above again.

2) When you get to the administrator account, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

3) If you're running Vista, click on "Start Task Manager".

4) Click on the "Applications" tab.

5) Click New Task.

6) Click "Browse". Go to the folder where AVG antivirus is - probably Program Files\AVG or something like that.

7) Find the actual AVG program (should be something like "avg.exe"), and launch it. Scan for viruses and delete the trojan.

Hi, there!

Now you'd follow these steps:

- Restart computer in Safe Mode by press F8, then Enter.

- Go to Start - All programs - Accessories - System tools - System Restore.

- On the Welcome screen, click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.

- On the Select a Restore Point page, select the date from the calendar that shows the point you'd like to restore to, and then click Next.

- On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, verify that the correct restore point is chosen, and then close any open programs.

- Click Next if you are ready to proceed or click Back to change the restore point.

- The computer will shut down automatically and reboot. On reboot, you'll see the Restoration Complete page, and then click OK.

Now you'll go back to Windows, scan virus again or delete the file that you think it's infected with virus.

I think you should change the anti-virus program from AVG to Avast free edition 4.8. It's very effective in real-time protection because when Avast discover your searching will be infected with virus, it'll alert you right away and delete it also. I'm using Avast and It's saved me many times when I met Trojan.

Hope this will be helpful for you!

Be calm!!! I think you could restart by Safe Mode. Again follow this one:

As the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu". Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode with Networking" and press your Enter key.

Now I hope you can go to Start - Run -... (follow instructions above).

Try another virus scanner. Also try running spybot

both online free scanners takes some time to download them.

http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

this is spybot. Install update and run it.
