Question:
can someone give me a link to a 'patch' or whatever for that nasty worm virus that hit millions of computers?

i've 'searched' microsoft's website for the words: conficker, downadup, worm, patch...
it just tells me '0' search results found.
does that mean i have the virus? and the virus won't let me get the patch?
microsoft 'update' tells me that i'm up-to-date.
my anti-virus AVG says that i'm up-to-date.
but i just want to be sure that i'm protected against that nasty worm.

You`ll be ok if you update & run your regular scans..

A worm (or any program for that matter) is very unlikely to be able to hide a possible patch for it.

It would have to find when a specific site is being searched various keywords, and then when you click "search" Would have to take you to a replica page of what you would get had there really been no results. Also it would then have to hide the url for the saved page and put the real url at the top. It would be a bit extreme in my opinion.

If your uptodate then there should be not much to fear unless your downloading gigs upon gigs of programs, videos etc. Don't visit dodgy websites either.

Have you seen any weird file or is your computer crashing or program pop up that sort of behavior?

Try other free Virus Software and do a full scan as well. If nothing happens I think you should be fine.

Always have a habit to backup important files.

Programs and software can always be installed again.
