Informing me of viruses, doing sweeps, and trying to make me pay through credit card. - ( it also changed my homepage).

System Security is a rogue anti-spyware program that displays false and exaggerated scan results. Thankfully, though, there is a totally free way to remove this program.

Please visit this page and follow the guide in order to fully remove this program and any related malware:

Please note that many of the answers to your question state that you should download and install Xoftspy or Spyhunter. Both of these programs only scan your computer and do not remove anything for free. They are only being shown in order for the poster to make a commission. Instead only use programs that do not require you to purchase them in order to remove found infections. The guide above includes a program that will remove this infection entirely for free.

You have a malware (virus) on your system which is antivirus 2009 and other names.

Antivirus 2009 and 2008 is not an antivirus program, it is malware (a scam program designed to get you to pay money to have it removed). Do not pay anything!

To get rid of it:

You need a free program called Malwarebytes. Download it here: http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol&cdlPid=10896905

Install and run Malwarebytes and then your be fine.

Here are full instructions if you get stuck getting rid of it: (But Malware bytes will do it for you.

Make sure you have an up-to-date antivirus installed, such as AVG Free Edition at: http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?tag=mncol&cdlPid=10891365

kill this running processes first shlwapi.dll si wininet.dll open task manager under applications end anti virus system pro task, then go under running processes and find the processes mentioned above and highlight then kill.after every kill you'll be prompted to confirm, click ok and close process explorer.don't restart just run malwarebytes and it will work.don't delete complete the virus just let it delivered in quarantine otherwise you'll loose your login screen.after quarantine restart your computer and you'll be fine.keep the virus in quarantine a few days create new restore point then delete all previous restore points except the newerly one then you'll be ok.after few days you'll be able to remove it from quarantine.good luck!

Follow this simple procedure:

Almost all "general purpose","all-in one" spyware and virus removal programs such as AVG Anti-virus, Norton, McAfee or Spybot S & D cannot remove it, as you may have already found out

I recommend AVG Free Antivirus.

There are also Kaspersky and NOD32 and others but they are not free and you'll need to buy them at the end and AVG is great: it has antivirus, antispyware and many other options.
