i am being hacked how can i prevent this..i have norton running?

occasionally when i turn off my computer it tells me that someone else is using my computer and it will cancdel their information

1) If you are using windows XP, download and install windows defender.

2) Keep the norton updated by using live update.



If you have windows defender installed. You can actually check which programs are running on your computer and about their manufacturers. You can prevent any program from running if you have any doubt.



If you think someone is accessing your computer over a network, then You must have to install windows defender, which also works as a firewall, blocking access to your computer to others on a network.

I've removed Norton recently & swapped to Avast! Antivirus. The later spotted & reomved 2 Trojons residented in the memory of XP where Norten is unable to detect even with the latest update.

hi, there are some virus with your IE browser. i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.



besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

ZONE ALARM FIREWALL OR ASHAMPOO FIREWALL THEY ARE FREE.

AND THROW NORTON AWAY, GET TREND MICRO ANTIVIRUS, IT'S THE BEST ANTIVIRUS EVER. I HAVE TRIED ALMOST ALL THE ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE, NONE CAMES EVEN CLOSE TO TRENDMICRO.

you do make sure you call your (isp) or this will happen

is your pc still slow & your internet you have done a full system scan

with your anit virus /anti spyware you even defragmenter your hard drive

done a scan disk but your pc is still slow and your internet is not as good

then you need to check your router it dont mater what router you have



people in the vicinity is on your network



you call your (isp)
