Hey I bought some stuff online and it was on youtube, the guy was selling dre beats sms 50 headphones, ipod touch and a psvita. ok I bought all of this for $300 and before i bought it i was very skeptical that he might be a scammer. So when he shipped it he gave me a tracking number to the package and the tracking number said it was delivered, but it never arrived. So my question is, can someone alter or change tracking information to show it was delivered. I also called usps, and they said that the package may have had in error in the address, also can someone send fake packages with fake information on it, i still email this guy he talks to me but i'm still very skeptical. He said he would try to refund me in october.

You should Call USPS customer service at 1-800-275-8777 press 0 then 0 again and give them the tracking number and ask them where it was delivered to/what zipcode it was delivered to. Open an inquiry and then call USPS postal inspectors at 1-888-877-7644. It looks like you are a victim of mail fraud or at least mail theft. It would be hard for someone to alter a tracking number. Also file a dispute with your credit card and with paypal if you used paypal.

It's possible they gave you a bogus tracking number to something else

He will never refund you

Don't buy things through something as simple as YouTube when there is no one to intervene

eBay is the safest bet for buying used items online, but you'll never get all that stuff for $300. The beats alone probably cost close to $300.

Never buy things that are shown or advertised only on youtube. They are probably scams. The sellers have no liability for selling these so they'll just take the money and leave. Again, police won't arrest them because they have no liability for the purchase.

TRY to refund in OCTOBER?

No no no, legitimate retailers will refund your money NOW, not six weeks from now.

Dude, you are out the money. This perp's account will evaporate in another couple of weeks, and you won't have any way to contact him or find out what happened to him.

I hope that wasn't the rent money, coz it's uncomfortable sleeping in a cardboard box.

Those things could be fake. That is too cheap for Dre Beats, PSVista and an iPod touch. if it's too expensive or too cheap it's fake. Try using eBay next time
