I got Antivira AV Virus, help please?

My dad got antivira av virus on my laptop when my dad went on Msn today idk how i just went on msn and BAM. but it happned a couple hours ago, and he had no clue what to do soo he shut it down and i have downloaded malwarebytes and its been scanning for the past 23 mts and it said 1 obejct infected im reallly worried whether or not it will be truly removed from my laptop :/ how long do you think it will take? i have 2 GB memory and a lot of pics and documents on here with some music, im on a diff account, but my dads account is sabotaged by the virus help please! thank youu.
