Anti-viruses tends to slow down the speed of the computer. I using uniblue's register booster and speedupmypc both are good products you should try. They come in free software. But only erase 15 errors. Support them to buy them

It may be doing an initial scan of your computer so It may speed up in a few hours.

If it doesn't you could uninstall trend micro internet security to confirm that that is the problem.

If its back to normal then you could install something like avast anti-virus which doesn't slow your computer that much.

all anti-virus/ internet security programs slow your computer down by some amount but they are a necessary evil.

Good Luck

Trend-Micro Review: Works on Vista 64-bit. Any other companies doing that right now? Can't install the firewall without blue-screening Vista, but it is not necessary anyways. I have a very high-end computer, so system resources aren't a problem, but even so, it barely uses any. I have been with Trend for about 4 years now, with XP Pro, and now Vista 64-bit Ultimate (NO VIRUSES or MALWARE) I'm smart about the way I surf the web though... so that helps.

Your PC is constantly reading and writing to a registry while you work, or while you are playing games, on it. This all happens in the background without you even noticing. When your PC was new, this was no problem, but the longer you have your computer, the more programs you install on it and the more the registry becomes bloated and damaged. This is the reason that your PC is running slower and might crash all of a sudden without warning. Your computer needs to work hard to go through all the registry bloat, or it might simply crash if it comes across a faulty entry.A registry cleaner will scan and repair your registry.Frequent maintenance using a registry cleaner is crucial to make your computer go faster.I should like to commend Registry Easy http://best-way-to-improve-pc-performance.com to you !

Any anti-virus that you buy will always be running in the backround scanning for viruses. Thats why it slows down. About the firefox problem, maybe trend micro is blocking it.

Hi there..

Do the following...

Free up disk space. A hard drive that is close to being full will drastically slow down your computer. You can clear up space by deleting temporary internet files, empty your recycle bin, remove programs that you do not use, put important files on an external hard drive.

Another way to free up disk space is to use "Disk Cleanup" on your Windows PC. To do this, click "start" and go to "Accessories", go to "System Tools", and click "Disk Cleanup".

Restart your computer.... Don't automatically start up programs when you turn your computer on. Close any programs that you do not use that open when you start up your computer. These programs will run in the background and steal RAM (Random Access Memory).

Defragment your hard drive. Defragging your hard drive places all of your information for each file in one place.

And use avira anti virus

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

Julia

This would appear to be a common problem. I have a brand new HP Pavilion loaded with Trend Micro running on Windows 10, my tech support says bin Trend and load AVG Free and problems will be solved. They (Tech support) do not support Trend Micro as being "suitable for purpose" normal everyday web browsing or office work
