Can it be possible for one user on the same computer to have a blaster worm virus and no other user? My fiance` has one on his and it won't let him do anything on his account. Any programs we tried to use is being blocked by it. We have tried to run a program for it but said we didn't have administrator rights to do so. So I went and changed administrator rights as suggested but it still says no rights. As you can probably tell we are not very computer literate.Any help would be appreciated. We have windows vista.

I'm sure it's not the blaster worm but a rogue anti-spyware application that displays those fake alerts about blaster worm. It's probable the Spyware Protection scareware. You should follow these removal instructions:

How do you know you have blaster worm? There are scam programs out there that give you false warnings trying to scam you and rip you off. Below gets most bugs quite easily, but the new scam bugs have some new quirks that will not be resolved by the below. If you are getting a warning popup from your security, tell us the name of the security warning before you proceed with the below. Malwarebytes alone will not detect these new bugs and neither will your antivirus in normal mode.

restart your computer

tap the F8 key until it asks about safe mode

download rkill, this is an app that will stop trojans and allow your other tools to work its free, its safe

Run rkill, a command prompt appears and goes away, a log appears, keep running it until this happens. The trojan will try to block your first attempt in some cases.

download malwarebytes, its free, its safe

install, update, let it run a full scan

save the log

look at the log

see if it has infections and see if they were removed

run a full scan with your antivirus

let it delete all it finds

or use this online scanner. its free, its safe. download the packet and run it

If your account is still working, which is bizarre since Viruses spread throughout all users, download MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and run a full scan, which includes all of his files on his account, and make sure you do it BEFORE it takes over all of your accounts.
