When i try to log on to myspace i get a page that says:

"Secure Connection Failed
secure.myspace.com uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate has expired.
The certificate will not be valid until 12/18/2007 4:16 PM.
(Error code: sec_error_expired_issuer_certificate)
* This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.
* If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again later."
[i use firefox]

this also happened with facebook a few weeks ago. i'm almost positive it's someone trying to impersonate the server because i've recently had a ton of pop ups. is there a way i can get around it?

This is worth trying first.............

As it say's .....The certificate will not be valid until 12/18/2007 there is a good chance that the date

on your computer is wrong....it may say 2006 or

earlier....so ...

Right click the clock....click on adjust time/date

and make sure the Day ...Date...Month....Year

are all correct....also check your in right time zone.

Click on internet time and update....

EDIT....Try this which is from the link.... go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services /then double click on the Remote Procedure Call entry and either start the server, or set it to start automatically on system startup.

If time synchronization fails

When you click the Update Now button, your clock should be synchronized immediately. If it fails, it might be for one of the following reasons:

You are not connected to the Internet. Establish an Internet connection before you attempt to synchronize your clock.

Your personal or network firewall prevents clock synchronization. Most corporate and organizational firewalls will block time synchronization, as do some personal firewalls. Home users should read the firewall documentation for information about unblocking network time protocol (NTP). You should be able to synchronize your clock if you switch to Windows Firewall.

The Internet time server is too busy or is temporarily unavailable. If this is the case, try synchronizing your clock later, or update it manually by double-clicking the clock on the taskbar. You can also try using a different time server.

The time shown on your computer is too different from the current time on the Internet time server. Internet time servers might not synchronize your clock if your computer's time is off by more than 15 hours. To synchronize the time properly, ensure that the date and time settings are set close to your current time in the Date and Time Properties in Control Panel.

To open Date and Time, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Date and Time.

An Internet time server updates the date set by your computer as well as the time.

The Update Now button is not available unless the Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server check box is selected.

You can change the time on your computer clock manually on the Date & Time tab in Date and Time in Control Panel. You can also open Date and Time by double-clicking the clock on the taskbar.

The router truly has 2 diverse forms of safe practices: a million - the password you take advantage of to log in to the router once you want to modify its settings. 2 - the password for the instant community that the router creates; you want to enter this password on your workstation once you want to initially connect it to the instant community. The preparation on your router will describe a thanks to modify both, and also you should replace both - for the first password above, the only ingredient you want to do is create a password for logging in. For the 2d password - which is called "community encryption" or "community safe practices form", you want to also choose the safe practices form. you would possibly want to verify options like "WEP" and "WPA-PSK". in case you spot "WPA-PSK", it truly is the full selection.
