Avast Free Antivirus along with MalwareBytes Anti Malware Free is probably the best combination out here. Avast is a real-time antivirus protecting you all the time, and MBAM is a scanner which you run occasionally. It tends to detect some of the details that Avast might've missed.

If you are not the heavy internet surfer then you can use the free antivirus such as Avast, Avira etc. If you use internet most of the time or visit the field for your job and want more security for online frauds and viruses you would rather choose the Kaspersky Internet Security or the Escan Universal security for better performance and total security for viruses.

if u ra having net connection or dongle then u can go

for bitdeffender and kaspersky because these antivirus needs online update

if u r not having dongle or netconnection u can go for k7 antivirus which can be manually updated but keep in mind what ever antivirus u use try to purchase a original cd (licenced) one dont download the antivirus it is waste

then u should install only one antivirus software not more than one

Most of the popular ones will do the job for you. If you want to pay something and get good free support when you need it then go with Norton. If you don't care about support and you want free go with avast. The main thing to do when you decide is to avoid downloads and never click on links. If you do that you will be as safe as you can be on the Internet

I think kaspersky is the best antivirus for laptop security .

There three best Anti-Virus Software's - 1) Kaspersky (PURE 3.0) 2) McAfee (Total Protection) 3) AVG (Internet Security) along with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware & Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.

You can choose any one from these three Anti-Virus company that fits your budget and needs.

I strongly recommend using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware along with the anti-virus I suggested to avoid any malware's, spyware's, adware's, rootkits, rouge agents & online protection (It will block malware websites automatically)

Also strongly recommend using Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit. Why? It protects everything else in your computer. From your music, music player, photos, documents, excel files, word files, programs or software's you have in your computer. We all know when you get a virus the first thing it does is try to alter your programs or files & unfortunately if the anti-virus or the protection we have in place is not able to find it. It alters even or photos or image files so it becomes more harder to find the virus or a bug we have in our system. To avoid that & to get good security. I recommend Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit as well.

The system I have is Windows 8.1 Pro which already as Windows defender as the basic anti-virus programs along with it I use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium & Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Premium.

The Malwarebytes Premium versions costs $24.95 each this for 1 year subscription. This is the best back up or the security you can ever have !!! If you do need any additional assistance. Feel free to ask :) & do let me know if my suggestion have helped you in anyway :) Cheers !!!

the free kind is the best. avast or avg will do. the difference with the paid ones are the support you get with it. but this requires a bit of technical knowledge on your part, because you will be given instructions to look and delete files within your operating system, plus some scripting commands to enable and disable services, and registries. all this thru a phone.

Bitdefender's high performance, usability and technical support options make it the best antivirus software

Well, as you can see, there's all kinds of opinions about the "best" anti virus protection. I'll just add my $.02 to the bundle. The best anti virus is the one you update daily, use daily, and understand how it works and it's capabilities and limitations. Add to the mix the knowledge you must obtain about surfing the internet, being careful about websites, links and email/spam from strangers you may receive, and you'll be just fine.

You should install avast antivirus .It will be better for your laptop.
