Windows updates won't install?

Question

All these updates won't install:

Security Update for Windows XP (KB2360937)
Security Update for Jscript 5.8 for Windows XP (KB971961)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB981997)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB981332)
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP (KB2360131)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB981852)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB956744)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB2296011)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB2259922)
Update for Windows XP (KB976662)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB982214)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB2387149)

-Regardless of Windows Update or, from the Microsoft website.

Has anyone encountered this problem?

System:

P-III 933Mhz
XP Pro SP3
1GB RAM

did you read the message when it said it didn't install?

some updates have to be run as a solo update...

Had the same problem and this is what i did....I uninstalled all updates to the IE8....then i uninstalled IE8...so my computer and your computer will automatically go back to IE7....then downloaded the IE 8 again....and when you do this...the other updates will already be in the download so you don't have to worry about the security updates....its a pain in the butt to do this...but it should only take about 30 minutes of your time.............

Try to remove the downloads and start over.
