Hi,

Well that error means that the server is busy.

What is could be is this Account Properties, Servers tab, put a check the box where it says "My server requires authentication.

Try that and see if it helps.

Probably because you are trying to send the mail out through here:

smtp.123-reg.co.uk

I assume that has something to do with your ISP? I have a backup dialup ISP that wouldn't let me send my emails through them any more once we went with a different ISP for broadband. I have to use the SMTP servers of our broadband provider for the email account I have with the dialup provider, UNLESS I'm connected to the internet THROUGH the dialup ISP.

These details will probably work - I use them with my Hotmail account in Thunderbird (which simply looked up the details on the Thunderbird server ;-) Easy for me.):

Server name: smtp.live.com

Port: 587

Security and authentication -

Connection security: STARTTLS

Authentication method: Normal password

Username: the full shebang. yourname@live.com

I have the same problem as you too. Exactly the same cos i'v'e also used IE and Firefox but to no avail. We are not the only ones facing this problem. I've contacted Hotmail Support, so hopefully they'll provide a solution soon.
