I have forgotten my password to logon. I know how to change someones PW from another account on the computer and through command prompt. How can I change my password if i forgot it? Is there any way to bring Command prompt up on the logon screen? Thanks

If you are using Windows XP, you can start the computer in safe mode, then you will get the administrative option to open the windows, from there you change your password.



To open in safe mode, after starting the PC, you have to press F8 button from the keyboard.

Not sure about doing it through the command prompt, but you can reset any Windows password with the Trinity Rescue Kit.
