Question:
How do I get rid of an Error message window that keep popping up on my computer screen.?
2007-11-29 06:46:10 UTC
I have a Microsoft Error Message window that refuses to close. The message states that there is an error and the program has to close. There are two choice; one to report the message and another to close the message. In the past when I chose one or the other, the window closes, the program shuts down and I start again. Now however, when I choose one of the two options, it just duplicates and refuses to close. Even when I reboot the system, when I come back into my rogers email or try to open Google, the message comes up again. The only thing I can open is netscape but netscape is limited in what it can open. How do I get rid of that window so I can open Google and rogers from my desktop shortcuts?

"The message states that there is an error and the program has to close." - Try clicking on the "Details Button", then paste the resulting contents into this posting.

If it is IE, as you stated, BUT, is it version 6 or version 7???

Then, we can try to help.

TIP: If you can't surf to Google or Rogers with Netscape (or Firefox) something else is terribly wrong with your PC!!! Use the Discover Tab here to learn all about Malware.

Wiping your computer clean is NOT the solution.

Asking /paying someone else to fix the problem is NOT the solution .

Run more than one antispyware program on your computer while in safe mode with system restore turned off. When your scans come back clean, reboot and make a restore point. Delete previous restore points manually. Hope this has helped.
