AVG download issues!!!! HELP!?

Question

Again, I am trying to download AVG the new version. I had FireFox, I believe i have successfully uninstalled it. However, when I tried again to download the AVG....I get this message...Error: MSVC Redistributables installation failed. Installation of AVG can not continue.
This issue is related to the Microsoft Visual C++ libraries installation in your Windows operating system.
AVG9 needs "Visual Basic C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributables (x86 or 32 bit)" to be properly installed. If not, AVG is trying to install it during installation, which could lead to mentioned error in rare situations. Links for manual installation:

-----What does this mean!!!? I so appreciate the help thus far!! Believe me! But, I wish to have safety on my system...and I do not. I do have Malware and Spybot search & destroy. What can be done?!

I think it's related to the Microsoft Windows service pack may not be up to date(???).

If you have the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser,open that and go to the Microsoft Update web page at http://www.update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?In=en-us and update your Windows OS. You won't be able to open this link w/o the IE browser,Firefox can't do it.
