Certain secure sites like banking sites require you to close the browser in order to expire the cookies. Incase am using a tabed browser (eg Mozilla Firefox), is it enough if i close the tab or should i close all the sessions?

Install WinPatrol. It is a real time scanner for your system and automatically alerts you of any changes made to your system. It has a feature called Scotty. It regularly looks for expired cookies [after you have logged out] and deletes them automatically.

Closing the tab will do. But set your internet options such that it deletes all cookies and temporary files immediately after closing.

Other precautions: keep the phishing filter on. Use browsers like Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2.0.0.14. These two are the most secured browsers.

close the tab should do. but i think that is depend on your browser setting. let say if set delete delete cookie after close the browser, then may not be too secure.

for better secure, better to log off, delete all the private data (if you are using Firefox).

Just close the tab or nothing at all. If you're that uncertain about the security of your stuff on your PC... always have firewall on and lock your account.. I use firefox and I keep all my passwords saved for every single website I visit since I'm the only one who uses it/knows the pass for it. (I have admin/owner/bios) passes up though. lol

Closing the tab will work. If you dont feel safe enough afterward though, you can manually delete all the cookies.
