Question:
Changing password for Windows 7?
?

I bought a laptop that was on display, and I want to establish a password, but every time I try, it says "Windows cannot change password." I have tried to change it via the "Manage" button under "Computer" but there is nothing there about users to select. Also, I tried changing it via command prompt and restarting the computer, but that did not work either. Finally, I tried resetting my password using a USB and that did not work either. Someone suggesting creating another account and managing a password for the main account I wish to use. I gave up on that because the account I created was taking way too long. Is that the only way for this to work? Or is there a quicker way?

Thanks.

I think if you go to the control panel, select accounts and users (or something like that) it will say, "change picture", "change name", and "change password/set password(maybe)." You want to change your password so select that. That should get you to the place you want to be! Hope this helped!
