I have windows XP, and can get on yahoo with IE , but if I attempt to access stories, or other programs IE will tell me "internet explorer. cannot display the web page". I can't download another browser or any program to check the problem. I'm stuck with IE. As stated I can access yahoo, and view he headlines but cannot click to see the content. Any suggestions? I Again I cannot get on other sites, including google chrome, mozilla, opera, as IE will not allow access to other sites. I believe it is a setting problem.

IE is part of your OS, therefore the first thing to try is chkdsk:

start>my computer>right click C:>properties> tools tab>error checking>check now>tick both boxes>start>re-boot

After you have done the above tell us now if IE connect to the net, if not try the following:

Return IE to default setting

open IE>tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab>click Reset

Running IE without add-ons

Internet Options on the tools tab, restore your browser security levels to default.

Either your computer has a virus, or your' having a problem with your service provider. I wasn't able to even get online, this morning. Not sure what the problem was, but was definitely not my computer.
