Hey computer genius's I need serious help! I am running Vista Home Premium on an Acer computer. I recently downloaded a program from crackzone.net and along with it came a powerful virus. In the folder was a program which when launched disappeared and hid itself on my computer. Also in the folder was something which had an icon of a computer screen with a blue question mark, labeled ACME, so the virus could be the ACME virus. The virus infected my system 32 folder and I know that it has infected svchost.exe (I don't think it's the scv virus because I could not find that file in system 32 using cmd). Here are my symptoms:
1. Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD, has occurred many times since the virus started)
2. Slowed Computer
3. Edited Permissions (the virus has taken away my admin controls over system 32; folders have a new owner that's named "Trusted Installer")
4. Many process in task manager are disabled (When trying to start them again I get the access denied message).
5. Trouble launching programs
6. Computer was in basic color scheme
7. Many startup programs are disabled

Steps I Have Taken:
1. Scanned for virus's using Windows Security Essentials and Avast-Both Unsuccessful at stopping the virus, but Avast did block a harmful URL in the svchost.
2. Installed and currently running a scan using Ad-Aware
3. Attempted to gain control over System32 files using command prompt (When typing TAKECONTROL /?, one of the examples was to take over the ACME file, which did not exist before. I attempted using my account and command prompt said I don't have user privileges to take control of the file)
PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME! All answers appreciated! I am very desperate. BOSD is so annoying and is probably damaging my computer. If you know any better and free software let me know! Email me at cool.salvador@yahoo.com or answer the question and please leave your email if I have to contact you. Whoever leads me to removing the virus or helps me significantly improve the situation will be given best answer. Thank you so much!

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.pchealthcleaner.net

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

With the help of your friend's computer, download Kaspersky Rescue Disc and burn it on a blank CD ROM. Put the same in your infected machine.

Now, configure the boot sequence as first boot device as the inserted CD ROM and hard disk as the second boot device. When prompted, press any key to continue booting with the inserted CD ROM.

Update the virus definitions and scan the whole system for viruses. After the results appear on your screen, remove the viruses.

The viruses may have broken your registry by filling up inadequate information. Repair your registry with the help of a registry cleaning software like Reginout. Download it from here: http://bit.ly/2qbzQ7

Nuke your computer - reformat your hard disk, that's the only option that will work for the long term.

Stop-gap measures may appear to work for a while, but from your description, your computer has already been compromised. Assume the worse, and include changing all your login creds in your to-do list once your computer has been sanitized. Back-up all your data, list all important apps to be reinstalled later.

It's a pain, I know, been there many times. I don't believe any other option will work that can give you the same level of security and performance before the virus intrusion.

there is not any assure. It relies upon on no count number if kaspersky's virus definition already is composed of the trojan you have. there is not any anti-virus application which could thoroughly shelter you from viruses. the difficulty is that anti-virus is often at the back of the virus. they might't shelter against it until they be responsive to approximately it. try kaspersky. If it does not artwork, you will could uninstall and verify out a distinctive one until you detect an anti-virus that knows bearing directly to the trojan you have.

It sounds like ransomware( a form of extortive malware that holds users' data to ransom ) or a virus

you need to find the name of this virus and check it on google and seradch it for then find how to remove this virus.

Download, install, update and do a full scan with either SUPERAntiSpyware or MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (or both, even -- but one at a time), and let them remove whatever they find. You'll most likely need to do this in Safe Mode, and you may need to download them on another computer if your internet access is compromised.

Enter safe mode, go to control panel, System, security, or something like that. there should be an option where you can reset your PC. i think it's PC cleanup or something. or you can go to the Computer folder, right click the (C:) Drive, and then properties. there should be a cleanup option.
