my firewall programme has asked me about a system trying to access my system. it says its from "Microsoft Feeds Synchronization - MSFEEDSSYNC.EXE".
my firewall says it could contain a trojan.
just cos it has the word "Microsoft" does it mean I can trust it?

"Microsoft Feeds Synchronization task found on PCs with Internet Explorer 7 and which automatic RSS Feeds synchronization turned ON. This task starts up at the intervals specified in Internet Explorer 7 and checks for updates to your RSS feeds. Once it has updated your RSS feeds, it terminates."

I found this by simply entering MSFEEDSSYNC.EXE into Google.

Never compromise on your system security...Trojans are very dangerous stuff...Do not install any program or allow to run if you think of a suspicious activity...Install and monitor computer using good antivirus softwares like Norton, Mccafee, Kasperesky, Avast etc...

No. If you feel that you should not trust this program then go with your gut feeling. Not all .EXE files with "Microsoft" are from the real Microsoft.
