anyone else think that Apple should let you CHOOSE if you want extra security on your iPad?

what if i only use it for games and don't need a silly 2-factor authenti-whatever everytime i want a free app or want to change some setting? if a user wants to say "f*ckall to security", shouldn't that be their choice? especially as much as those things cost...

It is always your choice to expose your machine to unscrupulous people who will take over your machine and ransom it. If you are so poorly educated as to not understand WHY you need security, you are what the hackers of the world call "low-hanging fruit" (ripe for the plucking!)

They do let you chose.
You can turn off "two factor authentication" if you wish.
If you don't like Apple's security choices, you can CHOOSE to buy something else and use it instead. Meanwhile they have to waste less time on technical support with people who were "hacked" when the real problem is that they use passwords like "password".

Yeah, because Apple really cares about consumer choice.

God no. It's idiots like you that create such a huge cost in their customer service. Better security = less calls for support over issues that now no longer exist because of better security.
